Farm Animal |
|
Up til now, El Vato has been handling things on his own, if you know what I mean. But now, his car is in the S&M Shop for some structural work. Here's the backstory on Farm Animal. El Vato was raising some chickens in the car.
Floor could use some work. It turns out that chickens and mice can live together. The mice made the glove compartment into a cozy little home.
Kurt and some of his prison buddies went to work and made the floor functional again.
The S&M shop makes a road trip to El Vato's shop. Naturally, this is during some miserably hot weather. That didn't keep Master S from oiling himself down though. We're putting a better stovebolt in.
El Vato needed the trunk floor fixed. He says he kept losing product.
El Vato sanded the paint off and primed the car.
El Vato claims he bought this cherry chassis for a couple hundred bucks. He and a prison buddy went and "picked it up".
Time passes.... then, we haul this thing to the S&M Shop for some discipline.
Oh yeah, this engine is every bit as big as it looks in pictures.
Master S lays down some beads.
Didn't International Harvester use these engines?
It's almost inevitable that ElVato will have a few too many and start playing "Oye Como Va" on air guitar. Or on his penis... either way.
El Vato says when troubleshooting an engine, this is how he checks for spark.
Check out the eyeballs. Luckily, the whiskey made him mellow this time. Usually, he gets mean and beats the crap out of somebody.
A visit from Jeff...

results in some creative work. And other undocumented stupidity.
Factory crossmember cut and capped off.
Master S fabricates a bolt-in cross member for the four speed.
Head knockers.
The finished crossmember.
Stock front suspension.
Cut A-arms, weld a plate between the two pieces, to lower the pivot by 2.5"
Spider bolts the modified control arm in place.
The modified lower control arm.
New studs.
New axle bearings and seals. Rear end ratio is 3.08:1
Master M makes up an adapter using a picture that El Vato found.
All the welding is done, time to paint the frame. Here she is in primer. Some pointers from Master S
Then we turn ElVato loose with the gun. Uhhh... paint gun.
ElVato Von Zipper?
We visit ElVato's grotto and move the body from the old frame onto the new one.
